Case Study: JoHearing Clinic Website and 72-Model Catalog

How Xposio built a bilingual hearing clinic website in Muscat: an 8-family, 72-model catalog, safe interactive tools and a full technical SEO setup.

Introduction

  • JoHearing (Jordanian Hearing & Speech Center) is a clinic in Muscat offering hearing tests for all ages, hearing aids, speech and language therapy, and nutrition consultations.
  • At Xposio we built its new bilingual Arabic and English website: www.johearing.com.
  • This is a case study about the work and the decisions, not about numbers. We do not claim any increase in visits or bookings here, because we have not yet measured them in a way we can publish.
  • We explain what the site needed, how we built it, and what we learned about clinic websites and large catalogs.

The challenge

A hearing clinic website is not an ordinary brochure site. We faced four challenges at once:

  • A large catalog: the clinic offers Danavox hearing aids, and the catalog covers 8 families and 72 models, each with precise technical specifications.
  • Sensitive health content: any information about hearing has to be accurate, with no diagnosis and no treatment promises.
  • Two languages: the clinic's audience searches in Arabic and English, so every page had to exist in both and be linked to its counterpart.
  • Patients on mobile: most visitors arrive on a phone and want to find the service, an appointment and the location quickly.

What we built

PartWhat it contains
Hearing aid catalog8 families (Klar, Barani, Anthe, Boreal, Brisa, Astro Core, Astro Pro, Astro Pro SP) and 72 models, plus an accessories and chargers page
A page per modelStyle and type, technology level, number of channels, battery type, and features as stated in the official Danavox guide, plus the part number
Service pages15 services in hearing, speech and nutrition, including hearing tests, Danavox fitting and tinnitus assessment
Interactive tools14 tools, including a hearing aid finder, a troubleshooting tool and an educational hearing simulation
Article libraryAround 65 articles per language on hearing, speech and nutrition
Specialists and bookingSpecialist profiles and an appointment booking page

Example: one model page

The Klar XC361-DRW model page, for example, does more than show a photo and a name. It lists:

  • The style (behind-the-ear RIC) and technology level (Essential).
  • The number of channels (8) and battery type (312 Zinc-Air).
  • Receiver options and maximum output as stated in the manufacturer's official guide.
  • The features listed in the technical sheet, including an IP68 protection rating and direct audio streaming.
  • The part number, and a link to the model's family.

The rule we followed: every specification comes from an official document, and we never assume a feature because another model has it.

Tools: useful, but honest

Interactive tools attract visitors and help them understand, but on a health site they can be mistaken for a diagnosis. So:

  • Every tool states at the very start that it is general guidance, not a diagnosis.
  • The hearing aid finder suggests products based on preferences, and reminds users that the specialist confirms what suits them.
  • The educational hearing test is an approximate simulation of a common hearing-loss pattern, not a measurement of the visitor's hearing.
  • The troubleshooter suggests simple checks at home, and asks users to contact the clinic directly for pain or sudden hearing loss.

Technical SEO

We built the technical foundation from the start, not after launch:

  • A self-referencing canonical on every page, so versions never compete for the same query.
  • Reciprocal hreflang between Arabic and English, with x-default, on every page.
  • Structured data that matches each page type: MedicalClinic for the clinic, Service for services, ItemList for model lists, FAQPage for questions, Article for articles, and BreadcrumbList for navigation.
  • A sitemap listing every public page in both languages, now more than 400 URLs.
  • A robots.txt that blocks only the admin area and preview links.

Decisions we reuse on other projects

  1. One page per search intent: someone searching for the Klar family is not the same as someone searching for a specific model, so each gets its own page.
  2. Specifications only from the source: on a health site, accuracy matters more than volume.
  3. Safety language in every tool: a short, clear disclaimer at the top of the tool, not at the bottom of the page.
  4. Content linked to products: an article explaining a hearing aid style links to the families that offer that style, and the other way round.
  5. Both languages from day one: adding a second language later is harder and more expensive than building both together.

What has not been measured yet

  • We are not publishing traffic or booking figures here, because a fair comparison needs enough time after launch and data from Search Console and GA4, collected according to visitor consent.
  • The next step in the project is a content plan of 50 articles about hearing aids, published on the clinic's own website, after which we will measure the impact.
  • We will update this case study when verifiable numbers are available.

Summary

  • A successful clinic website brings together three things: accurate information, a fast route to booking, and a technical foundation Google understands.
  • You can visit the site: JoHearing.
  • If you run a clinic or a business with a large catalog and want a website like this, see our website design and development service, or read our guide to designing a medical clinic website.
